The "2026 Major Exploration Expo" was held at the Cheonan and Seoul campuses from March 31 to April 2. Guided by the clear slogan, “Find the Major That Fits You!”, the expo helped students explore their future academic paths. The event was created to help not only freshmen choosing majors, but also students considering double or minor majors. In particular, the expo was highly important for freshmen in the Division of Undeclared Majors, which was introduced last year. These freshmen need to choose their majors by the end of their first semester. Because of this, the expo helped them learn more about different majors and plan their futures.

Customized Major Exploration

The expo offered various programs for students with different interests, perfectly reflecting the slogan. At the booths representing each department and major, students received e-books containing core academic information, which helped them better understand different majors and courses. Students could also ask questions and receive advice from senior students. A particularly impressive feature of this year’s expo was the "Integrated Major Promotion Zone." Moving beyond a simple display of text - based information, this zone featured major introduction videos directly produced by the students themselves, Many students responded positively to this program.

Career and Campus Support

In addition to academic major selection, the event also offered various programs to help students prepare for their future careers. At the booths connected with the University Job Plus Center, a steady stream of students received career counseling, sharing their employment concerns through services such as "eDISC personality assessments followed by consultations" and "guidance on field training work - experience programs." Administrative departments, including the External Cooperation Team, the Student Welfare Team, and the Student Counseling Center, also offered information about campus life by providing detailed guides on graduation requirements and extracurricular programs. Furthermore, promotional booths set up by government - funded educational project groups, such as the Convergence and Open Sharing System (COSS) for Biohealth and the High-tech University School System (HUSS) for Humanities and Social Sciences, provided a great opportunity for students to learn about new academic opportunities toward convergence majors and micro-degrees.

Vivid Voices from the Campus

Students shared positive responses about the expo. Student A, a freshman from the Division of Undeclared Majors, said, "I initially visited the expo because I wanted to feel more certain about my future major. Thanks to the e-books and the detailed consulting from my seniors, I was able to make a clearer plan for my major choice, which I had not thought seriously about before."

This year’s expo received positive responses from students, thanks to its parallel online and offline operations, alongside rich benefits such as extracurricular mileage points and souvenirs provided when visiting three or more booths. The event was well organized from registration to counseling and satisfaction surveys. Students could also receive souvenirs after visiting booths. Especially for the freshmen of the Division of Undeclared Majors who must make their final decisions and enter their majors by the end of the first semester, this expo helped students think more seriously about their majors and future plans.
